S-5! Solar Mounting Solutions

Find the Metal Roof Solar Mounting System that Best Suits Your Application.

There are many options when mounting solar on a metal roof, the details of which can impact installation costs and lifetime performance. Metal rooftop mounting consists of two basic parts: the roof mounting hardware and the actual solar panel attachment interface. Choosing to go with a rail-based or rail-less installation method depends on a variety of factors.

PVKIT 2.0™

The Direct-Attach™ Solution for Standing Seam and Exposed-Fastened Metal Roofs. Getting project materials to the jobsite and onto the roof are often considered unavoidable costs associated with solar mounting. With total mounting system weight below 3.5 lbs./kW (1.6kg)/kW compared to 19 lbs. (8.6 kg)/kW for railed systems, the savings in transportation costs and logistics is tremendous. The solar zone layout is more flexible. The added load to the building structure is far less. Material handling is reduced and simplified with only 3 components for the mounting system. Electrical bonding is automatic. “Lay and play” installation saves time on the roof.

VersaGard™ Bracket

DualGard is a two-pipe, 1” dia, (25 mm), aluminum, snow bar system that can be powder-coated or anodized to match your roof if desired. It can be used on almost any standing seam metal roof, in addition to corrugated roof profiles.

For standing seam metal roofs, DualGard utilizes two S-5! Mini clamps, providing a broad base of attachment for extra holding strength when compared with other two-pipe systems.

ProteaBracket™

The ProteaBracket fits most trapezoidal sheet profiles, including pre-assembled foam core panels (IMPs – Insulated Metal Panels).  ProteaBracket is mounted directly onto the crown of the trapezoidal sheet using stainless-capped screws (provided) or Bulb-Tite rivets (sold separately). It has been rigorously tested for load-to-failure results in sheeting only.
